Avika's 3rd Birthday Cake

Well - this was Avika's 3rd birthday cake. Did not have a lot of time to make a themed cake this year - wanted so much to make a Curious George cake for her. Well, the new house, the shifting ............... the list is endless.
However, we still made a nice cake - it was a Vanilla and chocolate marble cake with whipped cream frosting - and it was adorned with clowns, balloons and her favorite 'choo choo' train as decorations.
The 'Happy Birthday' was written by me - with gel frosting. And Avika's Bala Uncle did the writing of her name.

BBQ at Lake George - Summer 2009

We spent 2 days of summer at a cottage in Lake George, NY. It was a fun time with family. We had a gas grill at our disposal and made full use of it.

We BBQ'd some cajun shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, pineapple slices and some chicken tikka. It was fun.

There was Rava Laddoo, Mathri, Chavde, Chakli and then Chiva in the middle. This was yummy snacks we had on 28th Oct 2009. This year Diwali was fun with family.
