Blue Bird

This blue bird had been eluding the camera for a long time. Its too fast - you go a little near it and it flutters and flies off.
It was my lucky day sometime in Summer 2009. It posed for the camera on the trail behind our home.

Mother Duck with her babies

This mother duck wandered outside our patio on a beautiful morning in May 2009. Five of her babies were trapped in a drain there. Oh! how she was quacking for them to be saved. There were these two men who were installing the new Verizon FIOS outside and they jumped in to help. Seen here with 2 of her babies.

It was indeed a wonderful time - just before Mothers day.

My mom spotted this nest on the tree outside our patio (yes - its the same tree where I had spotted the bird with the berry in the beak). The nest had 3 baby birdies. With great difficulty - finally got the picture of all three popping their tiny heads out of the nest.

One of the first nature clicks with the new SLR camera. There is this beautiful tree outside our patio. This was clicked on 18th Feb 2009. There was still some snow and it was cold. But, spring was just around the corner. Found this beautiful bird - I guess its a robin. Loved the berry in the beak.
